Shopping for luxury

Kämp Galleria, Helsinki’s only luxury shopping center, had a loyal customers night yesterday. I was there with my wife, who is extremely loyal customer of Zio Boutique (see review on the previous post) and gets these invitations.

The place was packed with people and the shops seemed to generate a lot of revenue. This was helped with some discounts, typically 10-15%. I drooled on the front of Sony flat televisions on the ground floor. Wish I had enough money to buy one and still have some cash to rent movies… The displayed laptops were not the top-notch models, I’d loved to check the X505.

I also tried to find a pinstriped black velvet jacket, but the only one left was like a tent on me — it would have fit two of me. All other jackets were either too bland or just ugly in my opinion.

A Maserati was on display on the ground floor. I didn’t take a closer look as I would just be disappointed as the price must have been steep. Better keep on dreaming and not shatter them with hard facts…

There were some food and wine served. Unfortunately my and chef’s tastes didn’t match and I just tried all foods once. There were absolutely no need to try again.

Oh, I didn’t buy anything, but Sanna got yet another pair of shoes from Zio. Too bad that they don’t have anything for men.
