Central World Plaza is a huge shopping center; we wandered around for half a day and still there were some corridors and levels that were left unexplored. The amount of stores and restaurants is just breathtaking — and some extensions were still quite inhabited.
The shops are mostly midrange, as the luxury shops have been collected to the neighbouring Gaysorn Plaza (on the other side of the road). There are both global and local brands, and the prices are quite competitive. Isetan department store is at the other end of the mall with a Books Kinokuniya store nearby.
There is a couple of restaurant complexes and the variety (in regard of style, price and quality) is good — there is at least something for everyone. A Starbucks will help Westeners feeling homesick.

The biggest newspaper in Finland, Helsingin Sanomat, run an article about LinkedIn, and I had the pleasure of being an average user with some people picked for short short interviews from my network.
I’m personally using the service for being updated what my former colleagues, friends and other aqcuitances are currently doing and where they are nowadays living. There were some other good reasons explored in the article, such as communicating, finding opportunities and so forth. Now I can also say that thanks to LinkedIn, I ended up in the newspapers…
Muji is the perfect shop for everyone looking for items that have combine form and function into a stylish and usable experience. Originally from Japan, the store can now be found in several countries, including also Thailand.
The smallish store is located on huge Central World shopping center on Th Rama I. The selection has a lot of office and household everyday items, such as pens, but there are also clothes and other a bit more expensive stuff, too.
Muji style is very minimalistic and there are no logos or any other commercial marks on them — a rare exception in the modern brand driven world.

The luxury is located under one practical roof in Bangkok: Gaysorn shopping mall. The first, second and third floor are filled with the most appreciated brands, such as Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton. There are also some stores that want to be associated with luxury, such as Tumi.
As you may guess, the pricetags are hefty and haggling doesn’t get you anywhere. So don your wallet with those credit cards that have no limits or have a wad of money as thick as your wrist, and have a ball.
