Wonderful cakes

Kahvila & Konditoria Houkutus is the gem of Joensuu’s coffeehouses. Located next to Sokos department store (not far from the market square), the café sets the standards for the cakes, pastries and good service in the town.

The coffee shop itself is trendy without being too cold and over-designed — remember to check out the restrooms, too. The main attractions are the cakes. There is a number of those, and most of them are a bit twisted from the normal cakes — really delicious delicacies starting from the innovative names.

The prices are not bad either. Coming from Helsinki (or any other big city), this café is a real bargain and inexpensive compared to other cafés in Joensuu.
