Fullerton Hotel – When the World Is not Enough

Fullerton Hotel is one the best five hotels in the Singapore, if we believe in various travel magazines. The hotel is renovated in an old post house next to Singapore River, the financial district and harbour. The location is convenient for business travellers, and the close vicinity of a metro station makes it also alluring for people on holidays.

The hotel lobby is really astounding, rising to all eight floors. We were there during Christmas time, so the lobby was filled with live music most of the time.

The rooms are contemporary, light and airy. The bed is the highest that I have ever encountered, I had literally to jump onto it. The bed itself and the linens are of top quality. The same can be said with the amenities. The room service menu is extensive and surprisingly inexpensive.

There are five restaurants in the building and there is a smallish restaurant complex just next to the hotel. Hotel has outdoor infinity pool that had a little too cold water for our taste. The room service serves also the pool.

The service is most of the time very effective and courteous, but special occasions seems to be problematic for the staff. We had to wait for the breakfast on Christmas Day and there were some hassles involved also with our table in Christmas Eve buffet dinner.

We got an outrageously cheap package from Tablet Hotels, and the hotel was really worth every penny spent.
