Café, Reykjavik, Iceland (reviewed October, 2004)

Kaffitár – Good coffee in relaxed surroundings

kaffitár is a smallish cafe in middle of Reykjavik, facing the main shopping street Laugavegur. The place is a melting pot of locals and tourists; coffee is good and prices are reasonable. The place is little bit rundown, in symphatetic way, such as the cafes in New York.

Try any special coffee, but as we are in Europe, forget those syrupy thingies and get the real and basic Italian fare.
