Intercontinental Pudong Shanghai – Inexpensive (Almost) Luxury Accommodation

We got an excellent deal from Intercontinental Pudong Shanghai. Room for two less than 70e for a night. The breakfast was not included, but this wasn’t a big deal as the city is full of inexpensive and good restaurants.

The hotel is located in the new development area Pudong, east of the city centre. There is a metro station just next to the hotel and taxis are cheap, so the location is not a problem.

The staff is extremely attentive and show how affectionally they care about the wellbeing of the guests — as usual in better hotels in Asia. The room is roomy, but a little bit rundown. Bed is excellent, and there is a selection of different pillows available for the room service. All basic amenities, and some extra — such as toothbrushes — are available.
