Tuk tuk ride – Moped madness

Tuk Tuk, the little moped taxi that delivers, is an enigmatic figure to Thailand and no trip is complete without riding those at least once. In big cities, they can be hauled from any street corner, but on smaller towns you might need to know where to catch one.

Remember to settle the price beforehand and try not to listen any touting from the driver. My friend got three proposals for going to a girly club instead of the business meeting — you probably get ripped off and the driver gets a finder’s fee.

When on board, remember to keep a firm grip on a rail and on your belongings. The thing is a speedy devil, and some drivers do cut corners straight.
